Infographic Multiplier Playbook
Turn one topic into four platform-ready infographic layouts — portrait, square, story, and landscape — using AI prompts, content specs, and an operator export checklist.
What this page is
One topic in, four layout variants out — without redesigning by hand for every channel. The visual generator UI ships later. Today you get the content architecture, copy blocks, and AI prompts we use to produce feed-ready infographics in Canva, Figma, or any design tool.
This is a production playbook, not a fake demo.
The four layouts
| Layout | Aspect | Best for |
|---|---|---|
| Portrait | 4:5 (1080×1350) | Instagram/LinkedIn feed, Pinterest |
| Square | 1:1 (1080×1080) | Carousels, profile grids, X image posts |
| Story | 9:16 (1080×1920) | Reels/TikTok covers, Stories, Shorts thumbs |
| Landscape | 16:9 or 1200×628 | Blog headers, LinkedIn link previews, YouTube |
Same story, four croppings. You are not making four unrelated designs — you are reframing one content spine.
60-second workflow
- Define the spine — one sentence thesis + 4–6 data points or steps.
- Run the content generator prompt (below) to get copy for all four layouts.
- Pick a design tool — Canva template, Figma frame, or slide deck.
- Drop copy into layout slots using the spec tables in this doc.
- Export with the checklist at the bottom.
Topic intake template
Fill this before prompting:
TOPIC: [e.g. "5 signs your site is invisible to AI search"]
AUDIENCE: [e.g. "Solo SaaS founders"]
TONE: [direct / playful / authoritative — pick one]
BRAND COLORS: [hex codes or "dark bg + amber accent"]
DATA SOURCE: [your stats, or "no hard numbers — use qualitative"]
CTA: [e.g. "Free GEO scan → mygearhut.com"]
Master prompt: one topic → four layouts
You are an infographic copywriter for B2B operators. I will give you a topic brief.
Produce copy for FOUR layouts from ONE content spine. Do not invent statistics — if I didn't provide numbers, use qualitative labels like "Most teams skip this."
For each layout output:
1. HEADLINE (≤8 words)
2. SUBHEAD (one line)
3. BODY BLOCKS (labeled slots the designer will fill)
4. CTA (≤6 words + URL placeholder)
5. ALT TEXT (accessibility, ≤125 chars)
Layouts:
PORTRAIT (4:5): Hero headline top, 4 stacked blocks, CTA bottom.
SQUARE (1:1): Center headline, 2×2 grid of blocks, CTA corner.
STORY (9:16): Large headline upper third, 3 vertical blocks, swipe cue + CTA lower third.
LANDSCAPE (16:9): Left third headline, right two-thirds 3-column or timeline blocks, CTA bar.
Also provide:
- ICON KEYWORDS (one word per block for icon search)
- COLOR NOTES (which block is emphasis)

- Headline: 48–64px equivalent, max 2 lines
- Blocks: icon + title (4 words) + body (12–18 words each)
- Safe zone: 60px margin; keep text out of bottom 15% (UI overlap on some feeds)
Square (1:1): Center headline, 2×2 block grid, CTA corner badge.
Story (9:16): Headline in top 30%, three vertical blocks, swipe cue + CTA; keep text in center 80% (platform UI eats edges).
Landscape (16:9): Left column headline + CTA; right side timeline or three columns. Export at 1200×630 for blog/OG.
Design shortcuts
Canva: Start at 1080×1350 → duplicate page → resize to square, story, landscape. Replace text only.
Figma: One frame per ratio; auto-layout stacks + reusable block component.
Variation hook: Re-run master prompt with framing swap — mistake / checklist / before-after — same slot structure.
Export checklist
- Text readable at 50% zoom (mobile feed test)
- Contrast ratio ≥ 4.5:1 on body text
- Alt text pasted in platform upload field
- File names:
topic-portrait.png,topic-square.png, etc. - CTA URL matches live page (run link check)
- All four exports from same visual system (font, colors, icon style)
Status
Interactive generator (topic in → four styled frames out) ships soon. Until then, this playbook plus Canva/Figma is the full pipeline. Qualitative data works — never fabricate stats.
